Ingredients
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Egg yolks
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg yolks and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.
  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Make an indentation in the center of each ball using your thumb or the back of a teaspoon.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until set. Remove from the oven and immediately fill each indentation with chopped chocolate.
  7. If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts on top of the chocolate.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
