  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, rolled oats, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.
  4. Press two-thirds of the oat mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan. Spread the peanut butter evenly over the oat mixture. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
  5. Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the chocolate chips.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool in the pan for 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
