  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, unsalted butter, powdered sugar, orange zest, and vanilla extract. Mix until a dough forms.
  2. Divide the dough into two equal parts and shape each into a disc. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Roll out one disc of dough on a lightly floured surface into a circle about 12 inches in diameter.
  5. Sprinkle the dark chocolate chips evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  6. Drizzle the orange juice over the chocolate chips.
  7. Carefully roll up the dough into a log, starting from one side.
  8. Cut the log into 8 equal portions.
  9. Place the crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Repeat steps 4-9 with the second disc of dough.
  11. Sprinkle the sliced almonds over the crescents.
  12. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
