Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Strong brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Instant coffee granules
  • 1 tablespoon Hot water
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the coffee and milk.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. In a small bowl, mix together the powdered sugar, instant coffee granules, and hot water until smooth.
  10. Drizzle the coffee icing over the cooled cake.
  11. Serve and enjoy!
