Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup Chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.75 cup Heavy cream
  • 1.5 cup Cherries, pitted and halved
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Whipped cream
  • 2 tablespoon Chocolate shavings
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom and sides of a tart pan.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool.
  4. In a saucepan, melt the chocolate chips and heavy cream over low heat, stirring until smooth. Pour the chocolate mixture into the cooled crust.
  5. In a separate saucepan, combine the cherries, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens, stirring constantly.
  6. Pour the cherry mixture over the chocolate layer in the tart pan.
  7. Refrigerate the tart for at least 1 hour to set.
  8. Serve chilled, topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
