Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add the granulated sugar and mix well.

Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the batter.

Sprinkle the dark chocolate chips evenly over the caramel layer.

Pour the remaining batter over the chocolate chips and smooth the top.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the baking dish for 10 minutes.
