Cut the bread into cubes and place them in the baking dish.

In a saucepan, heat the milk until hot but not boiling.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and cocoa powder.

Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.

Pour the mixture over the bread cubes in the baking dish.

Sprinkle chocolate chips over the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the pudding is set and the top is golden brown.
