Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Shredded coconut
  • 0.75 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the shredded coconut and chocolate chips.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are slightly soft.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
