  5. Divide the dough into two equal portions.
  6. Add red food coloring to one portion and green food coloring to the other portion. Mix each portion until the color is evenly distributed.
  7. Roll out each portion of dough into a rectangle.
  8. Place the red dough on top of the green dough and roll up tightly, forming a log.
  9. Wrap the log in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  10. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  11. Slice the chilled dough log into cookies and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
