Ingredients
  • 1 sheet Puff pastry
  • 1 cup Cherry pie filling
  • 1 cup Cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 beaten Egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Almond extract
  • 2 tablespoon Sliced almonds
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 8 equal squares.
  3. Place a spoonful of cherry pie filling in the center of each square.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, beaten egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract until smooth.
  5. Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the cherry pie filling in each square.
  6. Fold the corners of each square towards the center, slightly overlapping them.
  7. Brush the pastry with beaten egg and sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow the danishes to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
