  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the baking dish for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Cut into squares and serve.
