Ingredients
  • 2 cup Pie Crust
  • 2 pound Apples
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix well.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.
  5. Dot the top of the apples with small pieces of butter.
  6. Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the apple filling. Trim and crimp the edges.
  7. Cut a few slits on the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  8. Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  10. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, if desired.
