Ingredients
  • 200 gram Pie crust
  • 500 gram Potatoes
  • 300 gram Onions
  • 2 teaspoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 unit Eggs
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 100 gram Gruyere cheese
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and place it in a tart pan.
  3. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes and onions.
  4. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until caramelized.
  5. Layer the potatoes and caramelized onions in the tart pan.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, black pepper, and thyme leaves.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the potatoes and onions.
  8. Sprinkle grated Gruyere cheese on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the tart is golden brown.
  10. Allow the tart to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
