  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Whole milk
  • 0.5 cup Caramel sauce
  • 1 cup Whipped cream
  • optional for garnish Caramel candies
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the pumpkin puree and vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cupcakes to cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Once cooled, use a knife or cupcake corer to create a small well in the center of each cupcake.
  10. Fill each well with caramel sauce.
  11. Top each cupcake with whipped cream and garnish with caramel candies, if desired.
