  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Add the Rice Krispies cereal and mix until well coated.
  4. Press the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and let cool for 30 minutes.
  5. While the treats are cooling, crush the candy canes into small pieces.
  6. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
  7. Stir in the red food coloring until desired color is achieved.
  8. Dip each Rice Krispies treat into the melted white chocolate, allowing any excess to drip off.
  9. Sprinkle the crushed candy canes over the chocolate-coated treats.
  10. Place the treats on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let the chocolate set.
  11. Serve and enjoy!
