  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Milk
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  6. Line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners and fill each liner with the batter about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the cupcakes cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
  9. Transfer the cupcakes to a wire rack and let them cool completely.
  10. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  11. Once the cupcakes are completely cooled, drizzle the glaze over the cupcakes.
  12. Allow the glaze to set for 10 minutes before serving.
