  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon Water
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine blackberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and water.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  4. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Stir in milk and vanilla extract to form a soft dough.
  6. Pour the blackberry mixture into a baking dish.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough over the fruit.
  8. Bake for 40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
