Ingredients
  • 2 cup Blueberries
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Milk
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a 9-inch (23 cm) round cake pan.
  3. Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the melted butter.
  4. Arrange the blueberries on top of the brown sugar.
  5. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the granulated sugar and butter until creamy.
  7. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the sugar mixture, and mix well.
  8. Gradually add the flour mixture and milk to the sugar mixture, alternating between the two.
  9. Pour the batter over the blueberries in the cake pan.
  10. Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.
  12. Serve warm or at room temperature.
