Ingredients
  • 2 cup Blackberries
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the blackberries and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining 1/2 cup of granulated sugar.
  4. Cut the butter into small pieces and add it to the flour mixture. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until just combined.
  6. Pour the blackberry mixture into a baking dish and spread the batter evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the cobbler topping is golden brown and the blackberries are bubbling.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
