Ingredients
  • 12 ounce Black Mission Figs
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 1/4 cup Milk
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Powdered Sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9-inch pie dish with butter.
  3. Cut the figs into quarters and arrange them in the greased pie dish.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and salt.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until smooth.
  7. Pour the batter over the figs in the pie dish.
  8. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the clafoutis is set and golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
