Banana Split Brownie Pie
The banana split was invented in Latrobe, Pennsylvania by David Strickler, a 23-year-old apprentice pharmacist, in 1904.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Stir until well combined.

Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9-inch pie dish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the brownie pie from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.

Arrange the sliced bananas on top of the brownie pie.

Scoop vanilla ice cream onto the bananas.

Drizzle chocolate syrup over the ice cream.

Top with whipped cream.

Garnish with maraschino cherries, if desired.

Place the pie in the refrigerator and let it rest for at least 2 hours before serving.
