  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Grind the walnuts, almonds, and pistachios.
  3. In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, lemon juice, cinnamon, and cloves. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Melt the butter.
  5. Layer 6 sheets of filo pastry, brushing each sheet with melted butter.
  6. Spread a layer of the nut mixture over the top sheet.
  7. Layer another 6 sheets of filo pastry on top, brushing each sheet with melted butter.
  8. Cut the baklava into diamond-shaped pieces.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Pour the syrup over the hot baklava.
  11. Let the baklava cool and rest for at least 2 hours before serving.
