  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, egg, and melted butter. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare the filling. In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Set aside to cool.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into a circle.
  6. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough in half and pinch the edges to seal.
  7. Place the piroshkies on a greased baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg mixed with water.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!
