Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Fold in the diced apples.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, flour, and ground cinnamon for the streusel topping. Drizzle the melted butter over the mixture and stir until crumbly. Sprinkle the streusel evenly over the cake batter.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. In a small saucepan, heat the powdered sugar, heavy cream, and salt over low heat until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  10. Drizzle the salted caramel glaze over the cooled cake.
  11. Serve and enjoy!
