Ingredients
  • 2 cup Apples
  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 unit Egg
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, oats, cinnamon, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, toss the apples with lemon juice, vanilla extract, and sugar. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the crust.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining oat mixture over the apples.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
