Ingredients
  • 6 medium-sized Apples
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 cup Bread crumbs
  • optional for serving Whipped cream
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel, core, and slice the apples.
  3. In a bowl, combine the sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the bread crumbs and melted butter.
  5. In a baking dish, layer half of the apple mixture, followed by half of the bread crumb mixture. Repeat the layers.
  6. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Allow the Apple Betty to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
