Ingredients
  • 2 sheet Puff pastry sheets
  • 3 medium Apples
  • 1 cup Pecans
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 beaten Egg
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut each sheet into 4 equal squares.
  3. Peel, core, and dice the apples. Chop the pecans.
  4. In a bowl, mix the diced apples, chopped pecans, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
  5. Place a spoonful of the apple and pecan mixture onto each puff pastry square.
  6. Fold the squares diagonally to form triangles and seal the edges by pressing with a fork.
  7. Brush the turnovers with beaten egg.
  8. Place the turnovers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Allow the turnovers to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
