  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Anise extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Licorice extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Flour
  • 2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Heavy cream
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the milk, anise extract, and licorice extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared cupcake liners.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove the cupcakes from the oven and let them cool in the tin for 10 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until smooth and creamy.
