Ingredients
  • 2 cup Basmati Rice
  • 3 ounce Almonds
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 2 piece Green Chili
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh Coriander Leaves
Instructions
  1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes.
  3. In a pan, heat vegetable oil and add sliced onions. Fry until golden brown.
  4. Add chopped garlic, ginger, and green chili. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  5. Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Stir well.
  6. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan. Stir gently to coat the rice with the spices.
  7. Add water and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and cover the pan.
  8. Cook for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.
  9. In a separate pan, dry roast the almonds until lightly golden.
  10. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and garnish with roasted almonds and fresh coriander leaves.
  11. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
