In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.

Fold in the chopped nuts.

Divide the dough into two equal parts and roll each into a log shape.

Wrap the dough logs in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Slice the chilled dough logs into cookies, about 1/4 inch thick.

Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown.
