Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

In a separate bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, butterscotch chips, vanilla extract, and salt.

Pour the melted butter and sugar mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir until well combined.

Drop teaspoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
