Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.

Beat in the egg, molasses, and vanilla extract.
